About Flume Trail Bikes

Flume Trail Bikes is the original shuttle and bike rental service for the Flume Trail, open since 2000. The shop runs two alternating shuttles to the beginning of the Flume as well as to the Tahoe Meadows for Rim Trail Access. The shop is located at the end-point of both ride routes as well as at the mouth of the scenic, paved East Shore Trail.

The shop is owned and operated by Max Jones. Max is a two time National Mountain Bike Champion and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame Member. He is also responsible for opening and clearing the Flume Trail for mountain biking and hiking in 1983.
