Flume Trail and Tahoe Rim Trail Ride Descriptions

Typically the Flume Trail ride from Spooner State park to our shop and cafe in Incline becomes snow free and rideable about Memorial Day. The Tahoe Rim Trail opens up and is rideable a few weeks later.

We operate two shuttle routes for two distinctly different classic Tahoe Mountain bike rides. Our shop is at the end of the trail for these classic point to point rides at Tunnel Creek Station and Café, Incline Village, NV.

  • Take the shuttle van in the morning from our shop next to Tunnel Creek Café to Spooner Lake State Park and ride the amazing Flume Trail one way back to your car at our bike rental shop and café.
  • Take the shuttle van in the morning from our shop next to Tunnel Creek Café to Tahoe Meadows to ride the Tahoe Rim Trail. Rides from 14 miles to 40 miles accessible from this shuttle ride all ending back at our bike shop and Tunnel Creek Café.

Tahoe Rim Trail Ride Description

This is is one of the most beautiful mountain bike rides in the Lake Tahoe area. The beginning of this section of the Tahoe Rim Trail is at 8700′ above the Sheep Flats (a.k.a Tahoe Meadows) on the Mt. Rose Highway above Incline Village.

It is often quite cool in the morning at the shuttle drop off site so bring a wind shell to start the ride. The first part of the trail from the trailhead parallels the highway and then descends through the meadows, over the bridge and briefly joins the Ophir Creek trail. Look for Rim trail signs directing you up and right onto the rim trail after a quarter mile… Read full ride description.
